If you’re like most people, you encounter frequent, daily stressors. You’re not alone. Did you ever think about taking a physical chill pill rather than numbing your mind/ body? People numb themselves to de-stress, to get away from their thoughts.

Some examples of common de-stressing habits:

  • Watching TV
  • Beer/ wine
  • Drugs

Kori Strobl (Her Website) explains how she uses her style of yoga to assist with de-stressing. The intention of this podcast was to be a resource to the general public about why they should try yoga, if at all, but the podcast turned into so much more.

If you’re a clinician and people ask you if they should try yoga, suggest they hear this podcast. Yoga comes in many different forms and the public should be informed of what type is right for them.

Kori Strobl Bio: Kori combines the physical postures of yoga (asana) with yoga philosophy and spiritual psychology to create a unique and healing experience for her students. This process is a deeply personal journey toward self-knowledge, self-love, and inner peace. Kori’s teaching is inspired by her connection with her Higher Power, whom she refers to as God. As such, her classes, workshops and private sessions are creative, unique and offered humbly with a sense of reverence and humor.

Kori Strobl has been a compassionate, loving, and thoughtful teacher for the many students and clients she has worked with over the years.  Using her own experiences of overcoming years of depression and healing from what was diagnosed as a “life-long” chronic pain disorder, Kori has inspired others to tap into their own courage and embark on a journey toward self-awareness and healing. Through yoga postures, breath work, guided meditation and direct and insightful dialogue and exercises, Kori encourages her clients to be honest and loving as they discover what has been holding them back in owning and expressing their unique brilliance and heart-centered passion.
