The Shoulder: Literally Everything A Patient Should Know Before Rehab
I realized since I soon will have a good friend/ expert on shoulder rehab on the show, I should set the preface with what the shoulder actually is.
Although there are no pictures on this podcast, I strongly suggest you see my entire article on the shoulder at http://www.p2sportscare.com/shoulder-pain-pitching/ .
What exactly are we going into this session?
We are hitting all of the types of structures of the shoulder such as: the bones, the cartilages, the ligaments, the tendons, the rotator cuff and the “non-rotator cuff” muscles. We also go into the concept of expansion of a rotator cuff tear and how 66% of rotator cuff tears actually do not produce pain.
Lastly, I touch on the topic of some light pitching/ throwing mechanics for you overhead athletes out there.
